The redesigned theater.gmu.edu website launched yesterday in Drupal.
I have implemented GTM on the new theater calendar system (theater.calendar.gmu.edu), which is integrated with the theater website (theater.gmu.edu). The theater calendar is using the same GTM container used on the theater website. I had to modify the local hostname variable to “theater.gmu.edu|theater.calendar.gmu.edu” (from “theater.gmu.edu”) so that the GTM tags would fire on either domain name.
I also set the theater.gmu.edu GA property to prefix the URL of hits to the calendar website with the full hostname. That way hits to the theater calendar website will be disambiguated from hits to the regular theater website. This is crucial particularly for hits to the two homepages (theater homepage and theater calendar homepage), which would otherwise get lumped-together.
