I added some additional tracking to the analytics for the cfa.gmu.edu website. We are now tracking clicks on link on the ‘schools’ menu on the CFA homepage. This was set-up in GTM to look for clicks on links within the ‘schools’ menu and fire a GA event when one occurs.
I have also added three goals to the CFA Google Analytics view.
- Outbound link clicks to the CFA calendar.
- Outbound link clicks to tickets.com to purchase tickets.
Both of these interactions were already being captured in GA as events (outbound link click). Those particular outbound link events are now serving as triggers for these new goals.
- Submissions of the group interest form.
I added tracking in GTM to detect submissions of this form and fire a GA event, which event is used as the goal trigger.
