I did a phone consultation with two staff members from CHHS to discuss analytics goals.
Goals are how you tell GA what counts as a successful visit to you based on your business model.
We discussed the importance and value of setting up goals in Google Analytics in order to better measure the effectiveness of their website. And we also discussed some of the mechanics of how to set-up goals in GA.
I suggested to them that some goals for chhs.gmu.edu might be:
- Clicks to the central apply page
- Submissions of the RFI form
- Clicks from the main CHHS website to academic department websites
